temp gauge?

temp gauge?
I have a 57-223 inline-six and I wanted to put on a aftermarket water temp gauge from AutoMeter. Its the triple gauge set with volt,water temp, and oil pressure. I am not sure were I can put the thermostat. It is all mechanical gauges. The temp gauge is some large size (can't remember size and its sitting in the car in a friends garage) but its not one that I can find on the block. Also it is a pipe thread size. I have an idea for the oil gauge but if you know a good spot then please tell me. Thanks for any info

There should be a sending unit somewhere on you block. On the 300, it's on the rear passenger side, below the #6 exhaust port IIRC ( If I Recall Correctly). I'm sorry I don't know where it is on a 223, but it should be a single wire sender. If no one here knows, you might try the older truck forum...
