360 heads

i've got d2te (pretty sure, haven't looked closely yet) and they've got an extra passage ways in the center. however, my intake does not have holes for these. what are these passages used for? air pump or something? do i hvae to plug them or will the intake gaskets plug them enough? if they are not plugged what will happend?
thanks

Those are exhaust heat crossover passages. You must have an RPM intake. You need not block them. The gasket will block it.

'extra holes'

lp88, those holes connect one exhaust port to another on the other side of the engine. They were for preheating the intake manifold. Used to be helpfull for winter driving. Edelbrock obviously thinks you don't need them, and they are right. Just put your manifold on the way they tell you, and you'll be fine. DF
