Rough engine

I have a 1999 F250, 7.3 Powerstroke and it's running very rough and barely wants to keep going. The 'check engine' light stays on all the time. Once the engine has warmed up a lot, the motor smooths out. Any ideas?

If the "check engine" light is staying on, you can go to Auto Zone and they will pull the codes for you at no charge.
