well since I have 3 road capeable fords i drive them to fit my mood i drive my ranger when i feel like a small stealthy white kid, I drive my F-150 4X4 when i feel like an big ugly redneck (im a twig 5' 6" 130lbs), ive drove the escort wagon once to test drive it before putin it up for sale (it was a free fixer uper) that makes you feel like your 40 with 3 kids (its got alot of style for economy people 35mpg, 0 to 60 in a couple minutes, and you cant forget 14" wheels with hub caps) i want big foot so i can be a redneck with anger management problems so i would have an excuse for running over all the cars at school lol
I define what I drive. I am a mom, I don't drive a minivan. I drive the biggest truck at his school. Therefore, if you block me in, I will start my motor, and begin to reverse (they get the point).
My husband has a stang with a 347, and goodies galore. I love the power in the car, but I'm more of a rough tough kind of chic. If I get into a bind, I'd rather climb myself out of there.
Clients actually know me by my truck, they look for it. But it's me, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I LOVE my baby! My blood runs blue.
My "old" truck (1985 F150 4x4) is what you'd picture when you think "farm truck"... never washed, buckets and loose hay and corn in the back, dashboard piled so high ya wonder how anybody can see to drive, and then you realize it would'nt matter if the dash was cleared off, because the windshield is so dirty on the inside that seeing is "pert' neer" impossible anyway. And I tend to look like the sort of guy who would be driving such a truck.
My "new" truck ('91 F250 4x4) is'nt quite to that point yet... I still tend to used it for a "good" vehicle, but I'm sure as time passes it will take on the "farm truck" look.
So, I vote yes... I am what I drive. In both cases.
I am not always in the same mood so to have a car to define who i am: the ranger is perfect. I can go get a coat of nice mud. I mean there is brown mud, yellow mud, red mud, slimy mud, chunky mud, gooey mud. Pretty ucj enough for whatever mood im in. lol
Slow to get up and going in the morning
eat and drink to much
look better when covered in the dirt
alittle heavier than i would liketo be
looks mean, but in reality is a teddy bear (girl friend added this one)
simple to understand and fix (boy i wish i could say the same about women, and yes i just got slaped by my girlfriend)
gets better looking with age! (ok maybe not)
a little rough around the edges
likes to play, hates to work.
does not like fancy things and jewelry.
What does this say for the guy that voluntarily wants to drive a mini van just like any other soccer mom ?
Mine a 01 Ranger Off Road 4X4
Hers a Saturn L Series that has had it's appearance changed
to make it better ( window tint ,etc)
But the Saturn will go away soon.
