Slavery reparations

This issue really burns me up. I read a small article in the latest Fortune magizne about a lady in Chicago that is heading up a drive to force companies to pay reparations for slavery.

What I don't understand is slavery existed for many many years before America. It lasted only 100 or so before America put a stop to it. Instead of reaping praise for putting an end to thousands of years of slavery we're getting lambbasted as though we invented it. Is my logic wrong? How does a company today, paying for autrosities that occured 100 years ago, correct the situation? I personally believe she is gold digging.

The people calling for reparations are the biggest collective bunch of whinners in the world. They are no longer even the largest minority in this country. They are always looking for a handout, no matter where it comes from. No matter what the problem, it was created by white man. They ( you know who they are) never want to point the finger inward, as in lack of motivation. All they are interested in is money, and not having to work for it. The problem is always someone else's fault. Look at their spokesman, Jesse Jackson, what does he know about anything? All he does is blow wind and the liberal media lap it up with a spoon.

Reparations exist and continue every day - to this day - in the form of social programs and political policies.

If they want more of my money, than they need to come look me in the eye and ask for it.

. . . I'll cure their misunderstanding, P.D.Q.

I firmly believe that we should pay raparations to every LIVING former slave and nothing to their progeny.

I'd get behind that in a New York second. As long as it wasn't a hundred billion dollars each.

GREAT idea, Dono.

If the reparations payments actually begin, I figure I'll be able to retire, comfortable retire.

Heh, and not for the obvious reason.

Hey, give them the hundred billion each. If you can locate a 139 year old former slave. I feel generous today.

Perhaps they should go get money from the people who sold the slave to the slave traders on the African coast!!!

Didn't this country already provide 40 acres and a mule as reparations?

40 acres and a mule bespeaks of work. 40 acres and a winery in Napa and your talking!

Hey, don't leave me out. My family were indentured servents in Germany, in the late 1700's. I wan't my reperations. Oh, and on my mothers side, her family lost land during the Louisiana Purchase. I want reperations to compensate me for that land.

give me a minute, I am sure that I can find some other injustices done to my family tree.

I want it all back

But don't gimme no money. 'cause of you did, I'd probably drink it up and go beat the stuffin out of some poor (FELLOW) "indentured" minority member.
