I have a 90 EB bronco. I want to put some bigger meats on it.. I have 31X10.5\15 's now and they look real small... I was thinking 33's or 32's anyt suggestions?? I know 32's will fit fine but what about 33's will they fit? not sure if the truck has a body lift on it.. it does sit high.. Higher than most stock bronco's i have seen.. I compared them side to side...
yes you can fit 33's body lift or not you may encounter rubbing on the radius arms depending on how wide a tire you go with,Tell You what, you find out exactly what you have and Ill tell you exactly what you can fit.
I am going in the exact oppisite direction. I know 33's will fit. I have 32X12.50's now. I want the slotted mags with 31X10.50's for the mileage and a more stock appearance. My friend has a 88 with 33's on it without a lift.
I hear that of the Cherokee thing. I have a 1990 EB . no noticable suspension work done.. other than the 2 shocks on each side in the front. the truck doesnt sag at all front or rear. it has a very VERY tight ride. Right now i have a set of Almost new Grabber AP's 31/10.5's all around..
I have a stock-height '95 XLT Bronco with 31x10.50's on the stock rims (3.75" backspace). As near as I can tell, I have between one and two inches of clearance to the radius arm at full lock.
I want to put 33x12.50's on with wider rims (10"). I am planning to cut the bumper to make them fit up front so clearance there is not an issue.
If I use a 15x10" wheel (typically 3.5" to 3.75" backspace), will I have a radius arm rub problem?
Can I actually get away with a 16x10" wheel (4.5" backspace)? This is my prefered option - I like the look here better because the tires won't stick out from the body as much. 8" wheel is not an option because I want a flatter profile with more tread on the ground.
Lars015,
If Your going to put on a bigger tire on, your springs will strech longer and my require longer brakelines when your wheelin' however if you were to just drive around onroad it wouldent make much diffrence. You know what I mean?
Yes you can fit the 15x10" with the 33x12.50's,once again if your weelin' with this truck highly recommend longer brake lines and you may need to adjust your stops so it wont hit its going to be close regardless but check it out you may want to take in consideration what 92Exploder is saying. when you get a wheel thats say a 15x12 and a 33x12 tire your leaveing your rim exposed to damage from anything you might rub up against and also keep in mind that with a smaller wheel width you can air down more then with a wider one. Theres one more thing, most tire dealers will fit your truck with what you want so you can check it out at no charge so long as you buy from them. dont forget to haggle them for price, tires are more often than not over priced! Good Luck!!
Ill check out those 16"wheels for you also.
