heat or what is the problem
i have a problem with my 95explorer V6 4.0L when i turn the heat on the rpm bounces up and down like crazy ever 2 sec from like 500 to 1500 2000 but if i turn the heat off is ok only if i put heat or air conditioning bounces up and down
anyone pleaze any sugestions what could it be?

The climate control operates the vent doors with vacuum. If you have a leak in one of these it would cause extra air to go into the engine. You could find the line on the vacuum tree that supplis this and cap it off as a test to verify this is the problem. Get a long tube and start searching for hissing noises under the dash.

Climate controls
These often open and close doors on a duty cycle of this period to control heat. This could be a leak in the hose or in an actuator bellows. I just know any leak will make some noise. Just my suspicion it is the climate control system because it is periodic. I would first find the vacuum line from the engine that runs it and cap off the port at the engine to verify. You will have to run with a concept on this. Climate control systems are complex and I can't think of anything worse to get to. I have a blend door problem and I have chosen to never fix it.
