How can someone own multiple car dealerships that compete with one another?
I'm not talking about a guy owning Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler places but like a Ford, GM and imports.
The reason I ask is on tonight's local news they mention that another dealership was purchased by the same guy. He now owns Chrysler, Chevrolet, Nissan, Hyundai, BMW and Mazda dealerships in the same town.
These aren't the kind of lots you see in small towns that have 3 cars of each brand but are separate locations with acres upon acres of cars.
Don't the manufacturers care about this sort of stuff?
