Is hard stopping bad?????

Thank God Yeti's a country boy; we wouldn't want him in the city anyway.
You can use your truck to plow or go wheeling as much as you want, but in my mind's eye you haven't proven yourself until you drive your truck in Manhattan for a day and come out unscathed. You could be in the cab of a 2' lifted truck with tires the size of boulders, and the taxi’s would still cut you off; heck, they'd probably just drive right under you if they wanted! City driving is "H-E-Double hockey pucks" on your nerves & on your truck. People jump out in front of you to cross the street on a red light, taxis barrel down the roads as if they’re driving a stolen car, and club-hoppers in their tricked out sports rides imitate scenes from Fast & the Furious any chance they can get. Man it’s a jungle out there! When you finally get from point A to B in one piece, good luck finding a parking spot within 2 LONG city blocks of where you need to be.But I can't see why you have this problem at 2,400 miles. No matter, though, it's under warrantee; take it to the dealer and have them fix (if your dealer is as good as mine, he'll give you a free loaner car until they take care of your brakes). I hope it doesn't come to this, but if they give you any lip, tell them you feel the present condition of the brakes is highly unsafe. Insist on a written & signed letter from the service manager on company letterhead indicating their opinion on the brakes. Inform them a copy of this letter, along with one detailing your braking difficulties, will be sent to Ford in the hopes that they can suggest a solution. You'll see them jump through hoops for you then.
Then come back here and let us know what the verdict was so we have more experience to help other guys with the same problem.
>to the excessive hard stopping.
Ditto
Brakes are supposed to be broken in over a period of time.If used too hard the first 500mi.or so.They can be glazed easier when new and the result is a lot of pedal effort and poor stopping power. If you ever noticed a bad (burning type)smell after using your brakes a fair amount, then this would be a good clue.
Since it's under warranty,I would have the dealer take a look at it.

I prefer Suburbanite, thank you, I like to think Im on the fence between city and country.
I lived in LA and SF for a few years, the hardest thing when I got back here was to "slow" down and not be so aggressive.
I don't miss the driving in that mess thats for sure.
