I am putting on the Jackit leveling kit this weekend at a friends shop. I have a question for those who have installed this kit, which is also the toughcountry kit as far as I can tell.
Can you add the extra front leaf pack w/o removing the entire front spring? From the instructions it looks like the whole pack sits below the stock springs so I wonder about taking the whole thing off.
And this question is for those who added a rear add-a-leaf. Did you have to take off the whole rear spring pack, or can you just pull the center pin and add it with the main leaf still attached?
Thanks in advance for any help!

After lift it will wear 315/70R-17's on 17x8 AE 589's.
You should'nt have to remove the whole front springs just to add a leveling kit that uses leaf springs. Just jack it up, use some good jack stands to hold it and stabilize it. Put a floor jack under the front axel, undo the u-bolts , lower front axel, remove spring center pin, put in new springs, replace with longer spring center pin and longer u-bolts tighten everything up and do the rear. Pretty easy, i've done a few for other people. Good luck.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 24-Nov-02 AT 10:16 AM (EST)]I installed that kit on my 350 without removing the front springs BUT I had to do it in the driveway without a lift. If I had had a lift I would have removed the from springs to make it a little easiser and REPLACE the bushings on the springs. The kit has held up well but I need to replace the front bushings. Wish I had done it all at once. I also installed the duel shock mount kit If I had to do it over again I don't think I would use that kit. It made the truck ride pretty stiff. I did add the rear ad a leaf without removing the spring again think about the bushings there are some great aftermarket bushings out there. Good luck
