There is an ignorant kid at my school, who's parents bought him a 1998 Acura Integra GSR, well he drives to school one day, and thinks he has the fastest car in the lot.
He thinks he can take the actual fastest car in the lot
1993 Mustang LX 5.0 HO
3.73 31 spline rearend
tremec 5 speed
pro 5.0 shifter
BBk headers, through Dynomax H-pipe and dynomax turbos
gt-40 mass air
bbk cold air intake, k&N filter
24 lb injectors
and performance ignition w/ 10.5mm taylor wires
and all emmissions restrictants off the car.
what do you think? I have gone for a ride in the mustang, and it throws hard.
I am sick of these kids who watched fast and the furious a million times, and think that there import w/ intake and exhaust will out run a modified v-8, because the car with the v-8 ways more.
I definitely think that the mustang will take the GSR but you gotta give those GSR's some credit. That's not your run-of-the-mill ricer. The VTEC in that integra is really powerfull. I think that car runs a mid 14 second 1/4 mile STOCK. Sure the mustang will own it but don't say that the integra is not fast. Honda is really doing some amazing stuff with their variable valve timing technology.
No and Yes... If the Acura GSR is stock.. no.. If loaded and those rice cars can be real loaded then maybe yes.. We are talking 1/4 mile here....Also, the driver factor is a big variable.. I used to have a " ricer" ..Heh..heh..and have been there done that but woke up when I became a grandpa..There goes the honda .. here comes my S'Crew!!!
I don't know how good the kid in the Integra can drive, but the kid with the mustang, is very good, he grew up in a family with drag cars, and can drive the hell out of them, and I think the Integra is stock, but those ricers always lie about what is done to them.
Im sure the integra cant hold a candle to the 5 liter, probably doesnt even make 150 hp
the chevy trailblazer uses variable cam timing in the 4.2 straight six, 270hp and like 300 lb ft torque, not to shabby.........high pressure engine oil used to shift the cam on an adjustable sheeve

Time to place your bet then!!! On the 'Stang of course!! Hey, be careful out there and no street racing!!
This will probably be done on the street, but both these kids are crazy, I would put all my money on the stang, and I will be sure to have a guy share a parking space with the integra, but the integra will have to bottom half and the 89' f-350 4x4 w/ 460 will take whatever part of that space it wants.
Whatever u do, NEVER race for titles. Anything can happen, the stang could blow a rod or anything else. Never race for titles. Race for pride and bragging rights. But on another note, i think the mustang would stomp it.
for me it's not a question of speed , it's a question of Style
What a question who has the fastes car in the lot....bla bla bla
The 'stang has ( for me) much more style as the ricer and if the owner ask me for a race I would say: Forget it, I'm not interesed in a race since it depends not of speed....
Let him think he has the fastes car!
...and the last thing on the world is to make a race to impress the girls on the school
the mustang should win.
if you wana realy make him look bad. ( and P him off)
get a '98 and up Buick regal gs, gse, or gsx. put a blower pully, cold air intake, headers, exaust, cam, super tuner, and LSD. that should put the car in the 13s (14.9 stock).
he will be realy P'ed because he got beat by a "grampamoble".
If they're gonna race, keep it at the track!! No sense risking anyone's life over a race. I also think the Mustang would win, but I think the Acura would put up a very good fight.
I don't think I would ever bet titles.. money is another story however.
