Thumbs up Underpulleys

Just put a set of BBK Performance Underdrive Pulleys on the Bronco today. The ad said 30mins for install, took me about an hour. The alternator pulley was a pain to take off. Everything else went smooth. Performance increase was pretty noticable. The wife said the truck seems stronger for some reason. I have not yet noticed any adverse effects like poor chanrging or cooling. So far looking good on the pulleys.

My biggest question is...Did you get any more mileage out of that big bad Bronco. I have a 92 with a 351 and I am up to 12 - 13 consistantly. I was considering underdrive pulleys, but am afraid of losing mileage. Have you towed with the pulleys yet?

Are the pulleys made of steel? I would not mind using under drive pulleys but I don't want aluminum pulleys.

Hey guys, I have yet to do much traveling to notice a difference in gas but I am going on a trip from Florida to Washington state mid January and I could tell you how the mileage is. And yes the pulleys are steel and are painted a glossy black. Pretty nice compared to the stock pulleys. Got them from Summit at a pretty good price and they even sent me a $20 certificate for my next purchase. Cant beat that.
