I'm sure I missed a couple now that I think about it. I know you have a handful of territories. Newfoundland, NewBrunswick (I think) Edwards island.
Well I may be ridiculed by some but I'll tip my hat to Canada.

If you look back on history at the conflicts the US has been involved with, Canada has sent help. Not so much in the form of money, but real people. Kind of like, "Here, we want to help. Put our troops under US control and we'll show you what we can do!" In world war II that meant the US sent the Canadians on the assault missions with little hope. In more resent conflicts we've shot them up with friendly fire. Halifax was half blown up, because the US needed a munitions port. For a place with the population of California, they've given quite a bit. They don't complain much about that. I respect them for it.
They have a lot of natural resources and more just keep popping up. I wouldn't mind having a huge diamond mine! Again, if you look at history, the US has had the chance to, "have," parts of what is now Canada, but we didn't want it. If I go to a garage sale and pass up some piece of junk, can I blame the guy that bought the $1000 artwork for 50 cents?
I'll use a seasonal analogy: For Christmas, some people like to give hand crafted toy boxes that they spend hours building. Others throw a buck in a card and mail it off. Both are real gifts and should be appreciated. IMHO, Canadians build toy boxes and the US sends cash.
I see the only problem Canadians having is that they strive to be more like the US; however, they don't realize that they've already achieved what the US has talked themselves into thinking they have.
If Canadians are proud, I think they've earned it.
Waxy, I can't name a single politician from your country. But I can name most if not all provinces.
