radio/cd player displays 5HF code

My 1997 Explorer has a six cd player with cassette and stereo radio. The stereo and cassette work great including the LED display.
The problem is when I activate the cd although each cd will play
the display goes to 5HF instead of displaying the cd (1-6) and the number of the song being played. It does switch back to displaying the time as it always has after a few seconds. When I push the song advance or reverse button it will work but sporadically. If I start a cd it will continue to play sequential songs as well as though nothing is wrong, but the 5FH display
comes on now instead of the LED rapid advancing through the songs.
Does anyone no what this code means and what's the most economical way to get this repaired? Dealer? Radio repair?

Thanks for the good advice on the 5FH code on my '97 Explorer
CD player. You were right,it was shuffle and you saved us some bucks.I'm donating the savings to the local Family Crisis Center/
