Hey Monsta. The dealer put in new hubs(again)and both u-joints spin free now.Lets see how long it lasts?
To you guys with the flutter thing.Get under your truck and look up at your tranny.Right above the y pipe there is a thin plate at the base of the bell housing(torq converter inspection cover).Bend the plate twards the front of the truck a eigth inch. This fixed my flutter problem and a couple of other people.
I also have the vibration thing but i think its the bigger wheels.
Do you have lock-out hubs on the front axles? I had a vibration in the front of my '99 SD 4X4 and found the bearings in side the hubs (caged roller brgs) for the stub axles "DRY". I put new bearings in the hubs, and also disassembled the lock-outs and lubed the bearings and splines. So far I haven't had the vibration or noise in the front end. Incidentally, I use marine wheel bearing grease for all the bearings and splines and also to lube all the tierod ends, etc. If you don't know, regular grease will breakdown and not keep moisture from the bearing surfaces.
Hope this helps :-X12
