8 lug disc brake conversion?
Ive got a 63 F250 and I want to go to Disc Brakes in the front. This truck has the straight front axle, and 8 lug drums. It has a 390/c6 and Dana 60. Are there rotors that fit the old spindles? Has anyone done an 8 lug conversion and know where to find the parts/kits/etc?

racerxravy4 -- I have seen it discussed often elsewhere that the easiest route for you is actually to move to 5 bolt hubs. Assuming that you don't really use your 250 for heavy duty stuff any more. This would entail swapping a new rear end under your truck as well, with 5 bolts. Since the Ford 9" rears were so common for so many years, this is not difficult to find, and you could swap in a differnent rear ratio, perhaps more to your likeing while you are at it. Perhaps some searching here will find some of those older threads. I am lucky to have a twin I front, so I havn't hads such trouble.
Fordman --- for you, I am not sure this will work with a 4x4. But, did you try searching? mpbrakes.com has a lot of kits. Might want to check them out too.
