it allows you to choose between stock and the custom tune.now with the custom tune ken usually tunes for 91 octame as thats the highest octane you can get in most states-i'm accesssible to 93 and 94 octane here in pa- i was happy with the 91 tune but i had him add some more timing and less fuel-for the 93- as it burns slower, this was as a biug improvement from going to the 91 tune from the stock tune-so if you have 93 available as premium- i recommend letting ken know it-as i'm sure you know it's quite hilly here in western pa-i -pull a 14'x7' duel axle tall enclosed trailer- weight of the trailer is approx 3500lbs empty- built very well.i have 3-4 mx bikes i have in there plus all tools , gear , pressure washer as well as 250 gallons of water-i tow in drive and comparing towing with the chip on versus stock is night and day- torque is icreased evrywher across the rpm reange- very broad , unlike stock, i'd say on the steeper hills-90% of the time it stays in drive as compared to dropping into 2nd like stock- also on the hills while not towing- truck has much more torque- stays in overdrive !- i hope this info helps- just ask away if you have any more?'s-phil
