Just wanted to get my holiday greetings in to everyone and say hello. I am new to the site, as a member, but have been reading the treads for several months. What a terrific site! What a great bunch of guys that have the same interest as myself. I am a pureist, meaning that I only drive a Ford and will only own a Ford and only have interest in old trucks with Ford powerplants. I am currently restoring two (2) yes I said two trucks, at the same time. Go ahead, call me crazy, my wife thinks I am nusts. I have a '53 that is real sweet, as much original as I can get on it. this one is a good one!!!! I am also getting ready to paint a '54 with a 302 and automatic that is on the ground, to be used for my daily driver. You will be hearing much from me as the weather warms up. Thanks for the opportunity to post. Have a Merry Christmas, the celebration of the birth of Jesus, and may God richly bless you for the new year.

Just thinking, he can weigh in on every side of the stock vs darkside debate. And 2 trucks......he must be rich

Welcome aboard, keep an open mind, a thick skin, sense of humor and give as good as you get...you'll be ok

I had a '55 many, many years ago, and that is where my love of these trucks come from. I am one of the type that if a little is good, then a lot must be better. I just really enjoy working on the trucks. And, I am still in the middle of raising a family! Yes, I can see a '55 in my future, but my wife wants one or the other ones finished first.
Thank you for your response.

Thank you for reading my thread. Yes, I like the pinched cabs!!!
Actually, I like working on the old trucks. I'm not to much of the techno-geek type with the digital cameras and all, but I will work on getting something pulled together. Thanks again.

Don't make me weigh in on either side of stock vs modified, to tough of a question. Yes, I'm thick skinned and love to play a practical joke or two or three. Laughing is healing, I love a good laugh. Thank you for your response to my thread. Hope to go to Knoxville and meet a bunch of you guys some time.
Thanks again

Thanks for your reply back to me. I was able to convence my wife that this is a good project for me. I raced cars for many a year and my selling point was that I could put them together and we could have fun "Just driving them"! I wouldn't have to bring them home in a basket after a Saturday nite of racing and put them all together again. Good strategy, it worked!!!!!!!!
Thank you again for your reply.

Hello Yello55 (Hows that Tim?)

Welcome aboard.

This is a great family hobby if your careful on how you go about it.
Got my Wife interested in Old Cars and Trucks a few years ago. We've spent alot of good time togeather going to Cruseins, shows etc.

The Careful Part comes now.

Seems She has taken a great interest in the old Studebaker Starlite Coupe, She will get one, I can put money on that. Then I will be competeing for "Toy Dollars" with her. But thats OK.

Looking forward to your input.
