Ya'll know the front of our F250's are chrome plated plastic, but has anyone had their bug deflector chrome plated yet? There's a place in Pa that'll do it. It is actuall chrome, the same plating process used at the factory. I looked at the stainless deflectors but they looked too warped, rippeled, deformed in the bend area's, plus it doesn't look the same as chrome. Since the front of mine is all shinny, Lund Billet upper & soon to be lower & the rest of the stock chome up there, I though it would go together pretty good.

They said they won't give a price quote over the phone, that I have to come in for them to see the part to be plated & then they'll quote it. I havn't had a chance to drive over there yet. I wonder if it would be any cheaper to get a bunch done at once for a price break or if it's the same price no matter what. Just a thought. If you call & find out anything let me know. I asked Lund if they were coming out w/ a chrome plated plastic bug deflector & they said no, only the stainless version.

cooltrucks.com, I tried it and there isnt a web site? Try http://www.tpcarguy.com/IBS/SimpleCa...d/607265.html. Otherwise just punch in "chrome bug sheild" in any search engine and you will find all kinds. They have been out for quite some time.
"Tri-County offers a wide range of hood shields that come in an assortment of colors and styles to fit your own individual taste. Color and pattern selections include a traditional smoke, polished chrome, mossy oak camouflage, flame pattern, American flag, and a select list of factory matching colors. Custom fit to the unique shape and contour of your vehicle, these shields are a great addition to your vehicle's style and can be matched in color or pattern to other components such as rear taillight covers and side door shades to create a unique "package" look "
GREAT!!! Thanks a lot. This is what I was hoping for which I'm sure is MUCH cheaper than me getting just 1 custom chrome plated. Thanks again I'll check them out.
