glow plug question
Hello There ford fans,i have a question concering my 93 f-250 with a 7.3 diesel,and 127,000 miles on the clock.This being my first diesel this is new to me,so if this is a stupid question forgive me,my truck is having a hard time starting,it will turn over but will not start,with a considerable amount of smoke coming out of the exhaust. when it does finally start up lotts of smoke comes out of the exhaust..Could this be the glow plugs,and if it is, how hard are they to replace? thanx for your input with this matter....later..reddawg

glow plug question
i had a 88 7.3. the glow plugs were easy to replace. figure 10 each so $80. they are direct unboly and bolt. the should be on the top of the motor at the manifold valve cover area. look for the 4 leads a side.
the powerstokes 94- have them inside the valve covers. a real pain!
