I've never played with them myself, so heres my question.
some powered sub systems(Infinity, and Bazooka come to mind) are designed so that if you connect to the speaker level inputs, the amp senses when a signal is present to turn on, and turn off if no signal is present. I am curious if there are any LOCs that have circuitry to power the amp-turn-on lead, when they sense a signal?
it seems like this would simplify instalations where the stock head is used in conjunction with an aftermarket amplifier.I don't need one, just curious if this product exists?
Yes there is. I have a perripheral loc that has it but I ended up wiring my amp turn on lead to the ignition. It was easy to get to and a more reliable power source. BTW I got that tip from some one on this board.
Also the loc needs to be hooked up to a power source like the radio turn on. Doesn't really make much sense to have a loc with an amp turn on lead but they do make them.

since we've both been posting on the steroe can't turn off thread, It seems it would make sense for some people to have a LOC that senses a signal to turn the amp on, if the factory head has no remote lead. I realize most factory heads have power antena leads, but some of those are only powered when the radio is on.
That is true but it you think about it the same wire that powers the loc when the radio is on can be the remote turn on lead. A loc can't just generate 12V from audio signals. It needs to be powered. An amp that has auto signal sensing has a switch that turns the amp on when it senses a signal like the JL Audio amps for instance.
I realize the LOC needs to be powered by 12 volts, and can't generate it from the audio signal, but act more like an audio signal triggered power relay in systems where the head has no remote lead
