CD player for truck?

Since I have a 89 bronco and the ride isn't like the explorer I had. I want to make sure I get a CD player that will not skip when I hit every little bump. What brand or what else do I look for that will help me select the best for an in dash CD player for my truck. thanks bob

I have a pioneer deh-6400 and it hardly ever skips. even when i am out off-roading. it skips some, u know on the really big bumps and such, but not very often. i've had 2 pioneers and have had no problems with either...hope this helps...

Sony isn't a popular brand around here, but they have a CD head for about $500 that has a buffer memory, like a discman.I have an alpine, and I have NEVER heard it skip in 3 years.I doubt my 74 F250 rides any harsher than your Bronco. overall I'll always recomend Alpine, but I think any reputable brand head will do you well.

My experience says pioneer is the best for your buck. I think it has only skipped when it hits a hard bump that rattles my brain.......

I highly recommend Alpine. It has never skipped in my 74 F-250 4x4 and it has extremely good sound quality as well.
