Mig weld gas setting (psi) ?

I just purchased the mig conversion for my Lincoln weldpack-100. I've looked through all of the instructions, and haven't found a sugested PSI setting for the gas regulator. I've e-mailed lincoln directly, but I know I'll get the quickest answer here. I'm using an 80 cubic foot (75%argon/25%Co2) mix gas and want to weld on my '67 F-100.

Thanks ya'll, Matt

I don't know what the manufacturer recommends but I have found that a setting around 15-20 psi works well for me.

Ditto, 15-20 works good. If you happen to ever weld outside and it's a touch windy, bump it up a bit. If it's flat out windy, just stop: go in the house and have a beer. MIG welders hate wind and rust.

psi is not the way mig welding gas is measured. It is cf/h (cubic feet/hour). Miller recommends 20 cf/h.

Yes, about 20cfh should do it. the gas is just there to shield the weld from the atmosphere. Since you're paying money for it, use as little as possible. On a piece of scrap metal, weld and turn your gas down until you start to get bubbles in the weld and then back up slightly. As it's only for shielding, any more than is needed to accomplish this task is wasted. Welding supply salesmen are notorious for coming into shops and telling welders they aren't using enough and turning up the regulators. The gas is the bread and butter of their business, and this was they sell more!
