transfer case swap
Helo everyone, I was wondering if anybody out there has installed a np 205 behind a c-6 in a full size bronco(1989). From what info I have found the NP205 (1978) is about 4 inches shorter[which would make drive line angles better when lifted). Will a short wheel based or van drive shaft work or does it have to be custome fabricated.. Also will the front drive shaft length have to be changed..The bronco currently has the borg-warner 13-56 transfer case. It works fine in 2 wheel drive, but when i shift into 4 hi or 4 low it makes a grinding hum noise and doesnt stop even after returned to 2 wheel drive until it chooses too??. If i need to replace or repair it i would rather spend the money on a NP205 and convert it to twin sticks. Any information the swap or specs on these transfer cases would be greatly appreciated.
