Jack#$* that came along and kept getting stuck b/c he's half drunk and doesn't know how to drive in a 00 Ford diesel 4x4, a shame to the name
Anyway fridaynight there is a road that never gets scooped off. We had prevoisly got about 4 to 5 in. of snow w/ a lot of wind. So that means drifts. We had a 1/4 mile long hill with about 2 ft. of snow all the way up. So right away it's me friend 1 and were running at it making about 25 ft. progress each time, when friend 2 shows up, so we all keep running up, backin down. Now were getting towards the top and the snow it a good 3 ft. deep. So far we've all gotten stuck and pulled each other out. Now friend 3 shows up, well I had to convince him to make a run, the truck being pretty new and all, he was reluctant. Anyway I was runnig in 2nd all the time hitting the drift about 35 mph, 4000rpms and boof. try and back-up. I hop in with him he does the same, we back down to the bottom of the hill and try agian a little faster, the 3rd time we back way up and hit the sucker about 50mph(that diesel moves) and were stuck and can't get the doors open it's so deep. So I crawl out the window and get hooked up to friend 1 and he starts jerkin. We can't even barelly move him after about 8 tries. So friend 2 hooks up and jerks and pulls and spins and after about a 1/2 an hour we get him out and we start the process over of busting through this last 40 feet. Finally after about 4 more pull-out's we bust through, me being the only 1/2 ton pickup had it the toughest, once they all got over the hill I went last and behind me were just huge axle and pumpkin marks but I made it up pretty easy. I kept up with them boys good considering me and the 6cyl. were pushing the most snow with the bumper and leaving a huge pile for the next guy. Anyway that was it for friday, it took us about 2 and a 1/2 hours.
Sat. night we had the same people except we traded friend3 for let's call him jack. This time were at the bottom of a hill with a soild 1/4 mile long, 3 foot drift on a flat dirt start. We all make 1 run, each of us had to be pulled out, wasn't to bad. Anyway friend 1 hit's it about 45mph and burys it good, I hook on and am just jerkin the hell out of my truck and his, 2nd, reverse, 2nd, reverse, 2nd. I'd take about a 10 foot run on the tow rope and whap, everything on seat goes to the floor at a dead stop spinning. Did this about 10 times until I dug my own hole and wasn't doing much anymore except benting my bumper, moved him about 10 ft. So friend 2 hooks on the front of my truck and we are both spinning trying to pull him out, no good. So I ended up going in the field beside and pulling him sideways, then friend2 got back in the path and jerked about 10 more times and got him lose. So then jack goes in it about 5 mph, about 4 times just nudging it and gets stuck. Nobody likes this kid to much or the kid w/ him, so we let them enjoy spinning for about 10 mins. until they finnally call us on the cell phone and beg, since they didn't have a CB like the rest of us and then we pulled him out easy. We were barely doing anything there so we headed to some fence line drifts and played in those for a while, only about 2 foot deep. Anyway jack get stuck twice when everyone else is driving circle's around him (figure of speech), friend 2 pulls him out agian. Jack claims his raditor is leaking (bull), never saw no green snow and goes home. We play around for a while longer and do the same. Until I slip into a drifted over dicth I didn't really think was even there up to my head lights in snow and bottomed out on my frame. Well there was dirt behind me so friend1 got me out alright without much trouble, but my friend in the passenger seat couldn't get the door open b/c of the foot of snow agianst it, I kinda went in sidaways.
Kinda long I know, but it's the first decent snow we've gotten in NE this year.
