no power
replaced my alt a couple of weeks ago.....everything seemed ok. this morning it was 10 deg out here in michingan and i was trying to start the old truck.....it started cranking like it was going to start then nothing...........no lights radio nothing......12vdc on the battery. where should i go from here? 1993 f150 4.9l

A lot of the time its simply corrosion on the cable. It can be so light that you cant see it without removing he cable ends and cleaning them thoroughly. If it has had the terminals replaced in the past the wire strands that attach to the replacement terminals may be corroded enough to not make proper contact.
