Indeed , insurance is the biggest scam around. Think about it, how many cars/trucks in the country * 500 to 3000/year in payments, works out to a billion dollar industry.

A few years ago, I had a vehicle mostly sitting in my driveway, which I drove maybe 20 miles / week in a rural region without any traffic and an extremely low probability of collision. Still had to pay the fee. I feel sory for old peple who rarely drive but pay.

I leave nothing in my truck. NOTHING. These days a thief will break a $500 window and rip up the interior to steal a $5.00 item. Part of the problem is the open door policy we have that allows too may pepole to enter this country.
When I was a kid a thief had PRIDE they could open your truck and take some stuff and even lock the truck back when they were done. Time sure have changed.
Catch somone breaking into the truck and maybe not hurt them but make them understand that you are one crazy SOB that is not to be messed with and the word gets around.

As for the insurance companies the necessary evil of this world that costs us all too much we could go on and on all day about that issue. Look out for your stuff and your neighbors and put an end to the thieves easy pickn's.

I hear you - it bothers me that I'm shelling out all this cash every year, and maybe, just maybe, I'll have a $600 fender bender 20 years from now. By then, they've gotten $30,000 or so from me.

What a scam.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do:
Insure your truck to the hilt, put it in the canal, collect blue-book value.

Bill in Miami.

PS. I`ve never done it, but I hear it works.

hey sorry to hear about youre truck..... damn thieves

anyway if i were you i would take youre spare money and get one of those nickel and dime surveilance systems you should be able to pick up a cheap setup with a camera monitor and you rig it in with a vcr if you want and just mount the camera where it can watch the hehicles in youre driveway and you can catch the next sonofabizkit in the ac and TAKE THE TAPE TO THE COPS

heres one way to go

good luck
