I have a 52 F-1 Pck up and in need of 2 lower pivot assemblies: NOS, used, or reproduction for both the left and right vent windows. To date I have been unable to locate them through the parts catalogs ie: Dennis Carpenter, MAC, LMC etc.
Does anyone have any other suggestions as to where I might look.
Yes I have a eye on ebay as well.
I'm not sure if it was you or another member who posted a note on my user page about this. But I responded there and I'll post the e-bay store that USED to carry them. I'm not sure if he still does, but he may be able to give you a point to someone who does if he doesn't carry them.
Here's the link to the e-bay store - I'll let you look:
I Have spoken with Altra and they no longer have window pivot assy's for the F-1's. My thoughts are, did Ford use the same assembly on their cars and or in latter years?
I had to buy some old ones and get a rivet kit from classic haulers and take the pivots off and put them on my frames. good luck with this it can be a JOB. But take your time and it will turn out great. I had mine recromed and new glass and rubber all from classic haulers. ALL YOU NEED IS SOME DONOR WINDOWS.
Yep, unfortunately, at the moment, people are selling truck parts cheap - to put food on the table.
I recently saw a windshield stainless strip sell on e-bay for under $150! Four years ago I paid $275 (it was near new - but wow have those come down lately).
This is what I have. They're solid and complete, except for the glass. They're actually from a 48-50, but the only difference are the chrome glass handles.
Let me know if you want any additional/close up pictures.
I am interested to hear from you on these vent windows and pivots............winter is coming and would like to tighten up the truck for the snow and cold.
