Charcoal Canister
ok here it goes.......i have a charcoal canister next to my battery. what is it and what does it do? i think it is called an evaporative systems componet.....the reason i ask besides not knowing what it is/does it has a broken hose fitting......it has two resivores one has 1,2,3,4,5,6 on it the other has a,b,c,d,e,f on it please help

The vapor can is for burning vapors expelled from the gas tank. It should have a line that leads to the tank, a line that goes to the carb bowl to vent the bowl and a line to a vacuum source or switch to burn the vapors.
