Chip for 5.4l 2003 Excursion?

Chip for 5.4l 2003 Excursion?
I am picking up a new 2003 Excursion with a 5.4l gasoline engine today. We did not go with diesel just simply due to the small amount of travel we do and we got a super deal. Wife doesn't like diesels because of smelly hands etc etc etc. Anyhow, I know this thing is going to get about 12 to 15mpg. I have a 2000 F350 7.3ps with a Superchip that has been great. Can we chip this machine? I know Ford has changed some things on the computers that prevent some from being chipped.

Yes, the 2003 Excursion can be chipped, or a Superchips Microtuner will work with it. The 04's have changes, as well as the 03 Expedition/Navigator. You're okay with the 2003 Excursion.
