yup. i have never seen one though. i hear it is a very hard conversion. your best bet is to cut down the 350 frame to fit the bronco dims. (to heavy for the front suspension stock. )
It has been done...BUT!... (and a big one at that! NOT MINE!) The suspension, frame and drive train have to all be reinforced or changed to heavy duty due to the excessive torque the diesel puts out.
Really, it should be a pretty straight forward swap. Lets say you wanna swap in a diesel into a 87-91 Bronco.
What you need to do is go get an diesel engine from an F-250 or F-350. You also want to grab that trucks computer..engine mounts.. wiring harness. Just be sure to get an engine that uses the E4OD tranny.
Then just swap all those parts in. The only modification that should need to be done is getting the motor mounts to fit. And notching the fender wells so the engine fits.
I do not see a reason why you would need to re-enforce anything on the truck due to the extra torque the diesel makes.
I got a 1990 Bronco and my soon to be installed engine is making over 465 pount feet of torque. That is for more than that diesel engine makes. I've been to many off-road and performance engine shops..and that issue has never come up!!!!!
So basically..if you got the time and money it can be done!
With a little research I think I've found my ideal dream machine. There is an outfit in montana (fordcummins.com) that specializes in cummins engine to ford truck conversions. They make the engine mounts and clutch conversion kits for the zf 5 speed transmission. It going to be a long project given the money restraints, time etc. My first item on the agenda is to do the zf tranny swap since my c6 is about gone anyway. Next I'll probably upgrade the axles, at least the front to a solid dana 60. I've got a 9'' in the rear so I haven't decided If I'll keep that or put in a dana 60. I'll have to put in some heavier springs to accomidate the extra weight (300 lbs engine, 150 lbs tranny). A 4" lift and 33's is about all the height I need. A massive front bumper/brush guard and a 15,000 pound winch and alot of bruised nuckles and dirt in the eyes and I'll have my dream machine. I just hope the 85 bronco frame will hold up. I'll be sure to post plenty of pictures through this multi-year project but I'll be starting on the transmission in February.

The diesel in my 4 door Bronco (Centurion) is developing 735 foot pounds of torque with a Banks chip. They are rated at around 525 stock.
