The Bush/Cheney ticket appealed to a lot of people in 2000 because of the inexperience some viewed in Bush. Has that equation changed?
It seems that if the Bush administration has a swirl or even a hint of scandal surrounding it, Vice President Dick Cheney is in the midst of it.
Cheney's health issues are on the back burner for now, but if the current administration gets re-elected, Cheney will be four years older and health problems could reemerge.
Do you think Bush should keep the ticket or should he select a new veep?
I think he is obligated to keep the ticket as is. Cheney has been a very distant VP. No one ever really knowing where he is. When was the last time he was in the news? He could have dead three months ago and no one would know.
The point I'm trying to make is Bush is doing well with him not really in the picture, so why stir things up. Changing VPs now would only put doubt in the minds of voters.

So what, Carter was extremely intelligent, so was Clinton and look at their presidencies. Both were disasters.
But, I don't think that I'd call GW's IQ average. Harvard and Yale and a fighter jet pilot are hardly things easily tackled by people with "average" intelligence.

I am NOT a Clinton fan, but our economy and people without jobs would welcome a little of that disaster back.

Here's an interesting article as long as we're talking about pilots.

Actually, it was fairly interesting. I've been interested in the military carreer of George Jr. so I set out to find articles on the web. This was one of several I turned up. I would be just as interested to read any articles that support different accounts of his record. Please feel free to post the links.
Exactly what part of the Clinton presidensy was a disaster other than his "affair".....and do we discredit JFK or Roosevelt for their affairs as we do Clinton?
