switching tanks
I have a '73 F-250 with two gas tanks. On the driver side door is a dial for switching between the main and auxillary tanks or the ''off'' position. The dial is pointed on both ends and I can't tell which side is pointing to what. Does anyone know?

The way I would check that is to ID all of your fuel lines running to the selector, then unhook them one at a time and blow compressed air through them back to the tanks. Have a buddy listen for bubbles in the tanks, then label them accordingly.
