I know I have Rear LLS - and my truck was in the shop a little while back to replace the a/c compressor - I asked the mech if I had front LLS and he said no. At the moment I believed him - here's the dilema: When I looked at the front, they do not resemble the rear in the sense of a tractor trailer lookign standard air bag. They looked like rear air shocks for a camaro or something. They had a "tube" of some sort going into the upper portion of the shock. The reason I don't believe him is because if the trucks on and I lean on the hood the LLS kicks on and moves the front up... I'm SURE it's raised the front up - but it was a lincoln mercury dealer and he was supposedly the best suv tech that only works on navigators.. I'll have my wheels off soon and I will post a pic, hopefully one with 4 wheel LLS can give me some help
I have been looking for front shocks also and the only thing I have found is factory replacements from the dealer at $119 each. From what I have been told it's the only thing that will work with front lls. Does your expy feel like the front bounces alot when hitting dips in the road. Mine is not bad except for interstate driving then it seems like the front feels soft and bounces alot. Wish I had better news.
Honestly I'm having no problems with it, aside from a little too much body roll when executing tight side to side jerks.. not too much from braking - of coures you shouldn't brake that hard in a SUV..
I'm not having any problems but I have 65k on it and I just like to keep everything in the best shape - I like the best performance. I could probably go another 50k but I don't like to do that.
Mine has 63k but I only got it last june. As far as making replacements I have asked everyone and all I every get is that it's a dealer only item. It most be something about the computer control. It seems that it should be alot like a reguler air shock except for being pumped up and down alot more often. Mine is not that bad but I also like to make sure everything is in the best shape. I have put 10k on mine since june.
