And don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!
Got my 99 EB back from my local wrench today, he installed the full Monroe Sensatrac kit. It replaced my LLS setup that would slam to the frame stops when the key was removed. It worked fine when the truck was running, would level when adding passengers or hooking to a trailer and when switched into 4 LO.
But the truck was rattling over bumps, the body leaned like crazy in turns and the ride was soft overall. I realize new air springs and air shocks up front would have made an improvement. Didn't want to run the risk of replacing said items to end up replacing a compressor next year, chasing leaks the next ect.
Main thing i've noticed it the truck feels much more planted now. Handles ALMOST as good as our 05 with IRS. It's just plain old fun to drive now.
In summary, I feel like I have a totally different vehicle! I highly recommend this conversion to anyone that hates their LLS and doesn't plan on pulling large boats or campers.
Keep us updated with how you like the ride. I heard some people talked about how the ride has changed including rough & bouncy. I've been seriously considering changing mine over.
Our 05 EB is coil and shock so i'm used to the ride. Actually, I prefer the more aggressive ride. Now I feel like i'm actually driving a truck instead of my grandmas Mark VI.
Love the conversion more and more each day! Can't believe I waited two years to do it. I will have to pull a trailer with 2 scoops of mulch and 3 scoops of top soil next weekend, i'll check in on the sag factor at that time.
I put the Monroe kit on my 98 EB4x4 a couple of months ago. I'm very happy with it. Towed my 72 Lemans home with it right after the conversion. The rear sagged a bit but not as much as I thought it would. I'm very happy I did it. Rides nice and no more air leaks to worry about.

The opposite for me. The ride prior to the change was mushy, land yacht-feeling, and unresponsive. With the coils and Monroe shocks the ride is a bit firmer, very responsive without being bouncy or stiff.
I got lucky on mine. A fellow firefighter in my volunteer department works for O'Reilly and used his employee discount to order the Monroe kit for me. You can get the complete kit there, but my guess is you can find it online or from a vendor here for less overall cost.
I took it on it's first road trip last weekend (300 miles) and man did it ride and handle like a dream! The biggest difference was when I merged through interstate interchanges. I didn't have to fight the wheel near as much, pointed it where I wanted it to go and the truck responded immediately!
The pin has been pulled and I changed my suspension. No more LLS and really didn't notice much of a change in the ride so far. I will find out how it will do when I take a road trip this weekend.
The only downside that I've seen so far is the rear end is sitting higher. Hopefully this will settle some and level out.

So how did it do with a loaded trailer? The sag factor, that is.
Not too bad at all. It did sit lower when loaded, but the truck didn't drive that much different.
oldtrucknut, can you take a pic of yours after the conversion? I expected my truck to be sitting way up in the air, but when I went to pick it up I was surprised to see it sitting at almost the same height as when the bags were fully inflated in A4WD. Kinda disappointed to be honest. My neighbor has a 98 4WD with coil/shock from the factory, and his sits up about 3 inches higher than mine.
