Have an opportunity to swap a rear sliding window from a 77 F-150 into my 79 F-150. It appears to be a direct swap, right? Is there a unique seal for the sliding window vs the solid window? Doesn't appear to be, but just checking. Steele Rubber is my go-to for seals.
Same window same gasket. but there are 3 different styles. plain, wide trim and lock strip. none of the repop gaskets fit like the originals did, but you can usually make them work. I use the lock strip version because they seem a little easier to install.
That is the plain gasket, it's what I've used twice, but that window is missing the two aluminum strips where the glasses meet and the latch. They often get loose from age and epoxy is what I've used to reattach, they have a channel the glass fits in and a seal where they meet when the glass is shut.
