Too Hot !!

I have a 2025 f 250 xlt with the 7.3 Goszilla--The transmission temp runs in the 190 range under normal conditions, and 220-230 when towing. The truck has only 7k miles currently--Is there any aftermarket pan or cooler which can be installed to bring this down? I've been told this is normal, and the fluid is designed to handle this , but it just does.t seem normal--any thoughts?

Unfortunately it is normal for those 10 speed transmissions. The ULV fluid is designed to handle higher temperatures so it should not affect the longevity. PPE does make a transmission coolant bypass valve that will lower it is by at least 20 degrees or more.

Hope this helps, or you could live with it. Whatever you prefer.

normal, mine gets up to 232. A deep dish pan will make no difference, just take a few extra minutes to get up to that temperature. It’s thermostat controlled.

You should put 20 coolers on your front bumper, get a deeper weaker oil pan, and rip the guts out of the trans thermostat.

Then get some funky shaped flimsy cast aluminum diff covers, that redirect the flow of lube incorrectly, too. Those are great.

TL/DR that’s what it’s supposed to do.

The truck, like every other ford vehicle with an automatic transmission has a PCM controlled coolant bypass valve that manages transmission fluid temperature.

Unplug it and the transmission fluid temp will roughly follow coolant temp.
