Differential fluid and additive

I have a 2004 F-150 XLT 4X4 4.6 engine. I'm changing out the rear wheel bearing and seals. got one bad on left side, so I'm going to change out both sides while into the differential. My question, thinking it's going to take 75/140 full synthic fluid, not knowing whether I have the limited shift rear end or not. Should I still should use the additive for the limited shift? What brand of 75/140 is the best brand to use?

adding limited slip friction modifier to an open differential (if that is what you have) will not hurt anything

I get the valvoline bags at Walmart. Game changer

they have 75w140 and 75w90. Valvoline has the LSD additive already if you need it.

check your manual. The 8.8 with the 4.6 may only require 75w90.
