Front fuel pump issues
I recently swapped the front fuel pump in my 90 f150 out for a new unit due to the gauge not working. I know it was probably a bad idea to swap the whole unit but I couldn't find a replacement sending unit for a reasonable price so here we are. The truck sputters and runs like crap on the front tank but runs great as soon as it is swapped to the rear (which still has the factory pump). After driving for a while I can switch the tank back to the front and have it run pretty decent under load but as soon as I turn the truck off and back on it runs like crap again. I'm planning on buying a fuel pressure tester to get readings from both tanks, but I would like to hear any suggestions you guys might have.
Thanks!

Look up one for a 1990 Ford Ranger for instance, and you will see a ton of pumps, most not worth a row of rat sh it
Look at Ebay item # 361092821497
It is a new Motorcraft pump that should be able to be put into your existing 1990 sender assembly
That is what I do these days, find a Ford pump and put it into the module assembly I need to fix

What brand is this pump? If it is cheaper than a good sensor, that is a problem right there.
