i need a couple of gas tanks and fuel pumps for an 85 f250 with dual tanks that have sat for 15 years with gas in them. someone might have worked on them before because there are wires with scotch locks on then under the truck.
Tanks are widely available still. On line search will locate dozens of options. Depends a lot on your specific fuel system, tank type preferences etc. Somebody recently posted their new saddle tank and it looked good for a good price. I think it was Autozone?

I got my tank for my 81 on Amazon. Looks great, fit perfect, and was cheap.
i am trying to conivince the guy but he doesn't like spending money. he wants it all done then he might pay me back.
I'd suggest another shop for him to take it to. I'm notorious for being che...er...thrifty, but if I need to get a part, I'll get it. Granted, I compare prices closely, but don't want to go back and do it again either. Regardless of make, brand or model, fooling with old cars is NOT a cheap hobby.
If you are a shop and he signed the work order you can put a lean on the truck, if it is worth it, this way they cant sell it or they dont get the truck till it is paid off.
Had a shop and was burned 1 or 2 times before you learn. The big one SIGNED WORK ORDER!
