Bought this 1990 new. It was a great van, put 142k on it with few issues. Valve cover gaskets leaked at 10k, I replaced them myself. 4.0 V6, extended length, rear air, towing package, limited slip. When I traded it, the salesman drove it, came back, and asked me if the mileage was 42k or 142k, he couldn't tell for sure.

I bought my 1990 XLT with E4WD in 1994 with about 24k miles. It came with the digital instrumentation, so it has 6 digits in the odometer; no ambiguity.
It also came with the leaky valve cover gaskets, but the previous owner had ESP, so the cost to repair at dealer was a $25 deductible. But its dual AC would not stay running cool for long after service; it had a leak somewhere in the system. I eventually figured it out, and it's been staying cool since then.
But it's had all sorts of leaks and various problems during the 30+ years that I've owned it, so I've had to do a lot of work on it:

Still, I keep it going because it's hard to find a minivan that can hold a full sheet of plywood.
