Again to use caps and come in here the way you did ,making that statement tends to rile some of us up ! we love our trucks!
We all have had are share of bad things happen to our trucks!

I'm not even going to dignify your comments with a reply... wouldn't do any good. It is apparent that your objective was only to talk trash anyway. I have no intention of entering a mud-slinging flame war here. If you have a problem & need help, ask for it. There are plenty of people on FTE who will go out of their way to provide assistance, advice, tips & tricks, etc. to ANYONE who is willing to ask for it.

But if you come here and start bad-mouthing the vehicles & message board that the rest of us are apparently so fond of, don't be surprised when you are met with animosity. Your initial post was very rude & pointless. Your follow-up shows the same lack of tact. Your comments accomplished nothing, were malevolently intentioned, and I for one saw no point in them other than antagonizing the rest of us.

Regardless, I am willing to put all this aside in the hopes that our little web community can be of assistance. State your questions, comments, requests, in a more appropriate manner and maybe we can help. But please don't start by littering our community; keep the trash-talk in the garbage can, where it belongs.

On Edit: I just re-read my initial post, and saw where I may have been a little over-zealous to react, rather than thinking before I leap. I'm sorry about the mental midget comment; it was overboard (not to mention rude, as well).

 

OK I like my fords always did always will, but the fact is they are built of poor quality, and this is why I say this. I understand that the FORD is built heavier than its compatition and that is why I like them...check this out..
99 f-250 psd auto reg cab 4+4...96,000 blown oil plugs 3 times, blown transmission, blown rear axle, alignment problems, brake pulling problems, shakes like crazy over 70mph, new universal joints in front axle....this is the good truck...and I will say this it has power..
00 f-250 v-10 4+4 ext. cab long bed..48,000 mi.new wheel bearings and seals 2 times now the seals are squeeling again, blown power streering pump, rear abs sensors first driver side the 2 mo later pass. side, abs controller box replaced and ford put the wrong one in drove around for 3 mo. and then they figured that they gave me one for 4 wheel abs I have rear wheel, shakes like crazy over 70 mph, when I try to throw my 4+4 lever it grinds real bad, since day one my radio would cut in and out, then it was with all sorts of components, bad ground connection I had to find it myself ford couldn't track it down, new pas side brake caliper it still pulls me all over when I brake, alignment peoblems, I still like the truck better than the compitition, but it is certainly not as nice, it will keep a load on the road better... you would think with all these problems that I would be beating the %@#%^& out of them but I take very good care of my trucks...

HAROUTD if you need help pulling that 3000lb. boat let me know I'll send my brother over with his old 1500 chevy....LOL

Ive looked thru your gallery in the past, nice pics! I can also see from your pictures that we live in the same area! Cool huh! I wont say where in an open forum but suffice to say that at the time of this post we are having a mild ice storm. I have been looking to see if i can spot your ride whenever im cruising around but so far no luck in finding those wolves! If you ever see a red F250 with KC Daylighters on the front end honking the horn....thats me! Although not for long as im waiting on my new 03 and trading this one in!

Anyhow, just wanted to say "Hi" to a neighbor!

 

Plumr, it sounds like you have had a couple of bum rides. I'm assuming that you bought them both new and can't blame the driving habits of the prior owners. I will tell you, however, that your dealer's service shop is doing a ****-poor job! I would recommend going to another Ford dealership for service. Wrong ABS box? Couldn't find a bad ground? What are these guys doing, blindfolding each other before they work on your rig?!?!?! Also, your comment on "blown oil plugs 3 times" may sound like a lemon-law justification to get a new truck from Ford (if it happened within certain mileage requirements). In any case, I feel your pain. I have yet to meet anyone who has had so many problems with their Ford.

Yeah, I sure am. I love my truck now but I keep looking at all those V10`s and saying to myself "Man, how sweet would that be". I kept trying to convince myself otherwise, but bottom line for me is that the 5.4 is just to small for this truck. Its a GREAT motor, just not for me. Also I cant stand this auto trans with all its constant shifting and searching, IMO it makes for a very ugly truck. The trans is what finally pushed me. So i went and made the ultimate mistake, I test drove a V10 with a 6speed and the next thing I knew i was signing on the dotted line! Its like an entirely different truck. Anyhow, I then lucked out as my friend provided me with an Xplan PIN number. My trade in plus the Xplan is actually going to make the payments lower on the 03 than my 01!!!! Ive never done this before, I usually run a vehicle a very long time, I had a 94 F150 (still have the 150) and before that a 1979 Ranchero, remember them? Ill keep the 03 a very very long time, if it ever gets here...ARG!

 

Oh yes I almost forgot after reading a post down the board a little bit it jogged my memory. When I got my truck the drivers side hub was so stiff you had to almost get a pair of plyers out to turn it in.... they replaced it..
