OK then how about this,,, I never had a problem, FORD is so great to deal with, they never mess anything up, They are always willing to back up there product no matter what, their engineering is flawless, these trucks are so trouble free I can hardly beleive it... I never even heard of anybody having a problem with one....

Plmr, sorry to hear that you've had so many problems with your trk and I guess if I had as many as you, I'd probably feel the same way bout Ford. As you are aware though, there is a course of action to take any time a problem arises and Ford, as with any company, has their procedures to follow. I don't know what or how your problems were handled but I would hope that you were provided with an acceptable result. It helps to have a good dealer and a group of folks like those here on FTE to help you out. For the most part the majority of people on the site are pretty happy with their Ford trucks and it is disheartening to hear that you've had so many problems, I sympathize. Try to stick it out with the brand and the board. People here want to help.....and your luck has to change.

 

This may come of as rude, because I am in a bad mood right now so bare with me.

First off, I don't know if you noticed, but it seems 98% of the posts are regarding how to fix something. I don't really see people blowing to much sunshine around here other than to thank users for helping them out. I'm sure if you went over to a GM board you would see pretty much the same thing going on over there.

Ford, GM , Mopar, and all those other crappy little imports have problems, if one of them made a perfect truck that never ever had a problem, I would own at leat 3 of them.

This is the half full half empty senario. It all depends on how you look at it. If you want to bitch about your truck, I'm not stopping you, I could care less actually if you were to burn it in protest, just be sure to post the pics.

I have had trucks made by Ford, Mopar and GM, and not one of them DIDN'T have a problem, but I always researched what they had to offer and went with the one that suited my needs at the time.

I prefer the suspension of a SD over any other truck made today, I bought it because it is a truck, I expected it to drive like a truck, and also I expect things to break, since I don't live in that perfect world.


If you have such bad luck with Ford, why not buy some other brand, but one sugestion, when you join the Gm Enthusiast site because you bought a bigger piece of junk than you already had, try to go easy and not **** everybody off right away.

Since everybody keeps talking about taking a hike, or go check out the GM-TRUCKS site I decided to check this site out... WOW its way better. somewhat the same but the GM site has alot more cool options. Also for the heck of it I figured I would try to become a member even though I am a FORD man through and through and guess what they said come on in..it WORKS just fine. I guess if you want the heavier built FORD you have to suffer a little to keep it....Although the new Chevy HD look pretty beefy and they don't sit 2"off the ground anymore so you never know I'm coming up on my 2 yr. bi-annual truck buy.... You guys are the BEST..

Give me 10 points what the heck and give this other dude some brownie points well your at it..... Show me one sentance that I wrote that says I don't like fords,, they all say I like them the best, but ford basically has very poor quality control. If I settle for what they are giving me now well I guess they will have no reason to do things better. And beleive me they can if they have too. I know several people with fords that have similar problems as me and some even worse. And from my experiance although the chevy's are not built as heavy, and they are deffinatly of a lower standard for a truck. you just do not seem to have all the little problems that drive you up the wall. If i'm pulling a 14,000 lb trailer I want a FORD bottom line.

It's too bad that the membership is still broke down and has been for a while. That means that this site is DYING, with no growth that means DEATH... sorry that is how it is, But there will be a new and improved site to take its place, possibly by somebody who is reading this right now...check out that GM site and maybe make some changes, after all the auto manufactures are always stealing each others ideas...

Also not in anyway do my opinions reflect how I feel about the people here most of you give great advice and have a great attitude about it, and I will be around here checking things out. So guess what I not going any where so bring on the points...

Unreal!, let me just add, i came to this board, have always been polite, try to offer what i can (and granted i do take more knowledge from the board than i contribute but that is because of my own lack of knowledge) and i even took time from my day to mail out FREE rockchip tape to a half dozen people that were in need in an effort to give back and i cant get a lousy point!


This guy comes along, Tees everyone off and gets points!!! WOW! What am I doing wrong????
