fuel pump relay?

hey guys, maybe some of you can help. i have a 90 model f-150. it quit on me and i found out it was a fuselink first, then it quits again and it was the fuel pump relay. well now it has quit again so my friend changed a wire around on the relay. it runs now but when you turn the key the pump keeps running. is this ok or should i get this truck to the shop?

It sounds like your friend has bypassed the relay by changing the wires. You shouldn't leave it like that. If you've already replaced the relay, I'd say you have a bad fuel pump. Something is causing a high current draw to burn the fuselink. It's either the fuel pump or a short in the wiring going to it. Probably the pump......

Get the truck to the shop and you might want to disconnect the battery. Good luck!
