My 03 F-350 is destined for buyback from Ford. After numerous issues with my truck and "NO" help from the so called 1-800 customer "no service" number I went to the DSB and won a full refund.
Does anyone have any information on the changes made to the 04 6.0 and are they for the better? I really would hate to go to the darkside? Does anybody have a considerable amount of miles on there 04 6.0 without issue?
For all of you that "may" have on-going issues with the new 6.0 and have been having these issues since the vehicle was new there is avenues in place to help besides the so called 1-800 (twilight zone do nothing number) . And for those of you that are having on-going issues and your dealer offers a replacement vehicle don't let them charge you a mileage fee.
j.lauer please let me know how your buyback worked. they are going to charge me 20 cents a mile on 37000 miles. i'd be better off trading in on a dodge. my email is wtompkins7@yahoo.com
i'm in the process of a buyback. i've spoken with my regional rep and he said that ford will charge me 20 cents per mile at 37000miles. this seems like a ripoff. please help me figure out how to do this without getting taken to the cleaners
Just a little 04 update...bought mine 12-05-04 and have had it in the shop 2 times already. 1st time at 618 miles (Transmission sensor) 2nd time at 983 miles....looks like the same thing. The tow/haul light starts flashing and the tranny don't shift right. Hope to have it back Thursday or Friday.......Other than that, I love my truck!
