I have a crank no start issue. Pulled the fuel pump and It bench tested fine. I have RCM trouble code B11D8-14 active. Circuit short to ground or open. I followed the diagnostic tree pinpoint test and everything is testing out fine. Replaced fuel pump module followed by the RCM as per the pinpoint test and have not gotten anywhere. Am very stuck and could use some help/suggestions.
As far as I understand the RCM is signaling the fuel pump module to cut fuel via the "event circuit" which depowers the fuel pump in the event of an accident.
No signature so I have no idea if you are even in the right forum?
Having said that, I will assume you have a FORD truck with a 6.2L. The harness from the tank will have corrosion or an open that is interpreted as an open circuit due to airbag deployment, therefore turning off the fuel pump. Find the harness and the break or corrosion in the wire and you should be good.
But only if my assumption is correct about your vehicle. South Main Auto on YT had one just like this recently - might help you.
