Hello..Im looking to finally replace my very cracked blue dash pad. 1975 F250. I read somewhere that some of the aftermarket dash pads do not fit well and more importantly do not mount as easily as others. I was interested in opinions and experiences of others who have replaced their dash pads. Thanks very much.

If you buy the more expensive American made ones they're okay. if they made the ends and center tab extend just a little lower they would be as good as NOS. I'd buy another one. the cheap ones I've seen are garbage.
Were all the dash pads in blue the same blue for 1975? I see what is claimed to be a Ford Authorized, made in USA dash pad on dashes direct. Really pricey but a couple hundred extra in the grand scope of interior restore ...
That is the one you want, but they make them for the vendors including DC so you might find a better price.
the blue pads are pretty much the same color for most if not all years. mine is a '76 and it matched my original blue pretty close. it may not look like it in the picture but it's the correct medium blue.
Bought a molded black rubbery-plastic like one piece overlay from Auto Krafters, came with silicone glue, but it fit over the cracked OEM pad so well, like a snug snap fit, was no need for glue. Was less than half the price of a full pad that might crack next year ... and looks fantastic, install is faster than getting it out of the box was.
Then I put a black carpet like dash cover over that.
This is the original dash pad after I repaired about a dozen holes that were in it from an anxious German Shepherd. I used glazing putty....sanded it and applied a topcoat of the SMS vinyl coloring in Camel. It's a shade darker than original but you really can't tell. I think it turned out great.
