Hello everyone I have a 2013 ford e350 van with 196,000 miles on it and it had a new transmission put in at 136,000 miles and was wondering what interval should I change the transmission fluid thinking about changing it at 200k what is there service interval recommend from the factory to change fluid and just a drain and refill or flush heard bad things about flushing them. What is recommended from the factory want to keep it working for many more miles everything shifts great right now wanting to do preventative maintenance. Thanks
Just know that there are 2 factory sets of service schedules
I'd go with the severe service schedule which means "police and taxi"
Google your trucks service schedule
I would not go more than 60k miles between services
Used to be part of a 30k service at the dealer, and still is
Since you are committed to doing regular service, invest in a pan with a drain plug. Note you may need a different filter if the pan is deeper. Drain and fill is all you need. This site's Ford transmission expert says a filter change does not increase transmission life. Don't flush the.system.
