My 2021 F-150 suddenly started leaking fuel today. I noticed a strong gasoline smell after leaving my driveway. I stopped and turned engine off and saw fuel dripping off the bottom of the tank. I restarted the engine and fuel sprayed out from above the tank. No signs of any leak where I had been parked before driving. Any likely causes to consider? I’m going to get it towed to mechanic’s but am curious.
I haven't had one of these late models apart but the fuel pump is in the tank, fuel spraying out when running tells me that a connection came apart or a line broke/split. Neither of those should just happen, has it been worked on recently? It would make me nervous if they say it came unhooked and just snap it back together and send you down the road. These things can be a bear to disconnect when you are trying, can't see one just coming apart. Jim

Yeah that doesn't sound normal at all. Probably something popped loose or cracked around the tank or fuel line, especially since it sprays when running. Good call getting it towed. I definitely wouldn't mess with that.
