Does anyone know why there is this grommet with a keyhole shape on all the doors?

I haven't messed with it, but it looks like an access for child safety locks that would prevent the doors from being opened from the inside. Just a guess.
That is a really good guess, so I looked that up in the owner's manual. The child safety lock is actually integrated directly in the latch on the door, not behind this grommet.
